Hey guys, MShadowbladeTR here and I am running on 0.9.1.8 with Beta Participation checked off. On the Stat Tracker itself, it shows the kills and records it so I know that it has connected to the right account and it even does the call outs for Head Shots, Double Kills, etc. but the overlay doesn't work and that is what I mainly need from this. Anyone got some help? Thanks.

What os are you running?

There's an issue with 32-bit operating systems at the moment.

Windows 7? Are you using steam to launch ps2?

It's best to have RTST running first and then starting PS2. If that doesn't work try reversing the order.

Make sure they are both running on same account level. If you run one as admin the other must be too.

I'm on Windows 8 and I just launch without Steam, I downloaded it through SOE.

8.0 or 8.1?

Did you try running them both as admin?

And 8.1

Alright, I'm getting a crash with 8.1 after recent windows updates. Another user reported a similar error. I'm looking over what is causing it now. Your problem may be related.

Not a crash, the overlay doesn't work at all.

Download the x64 DLL from here (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5NksI6S3xuUaHdINHh4S2FfXzA&usp=sharing). Replace the file in your installation directory with this. Let me know if this helps. Thanks.

Edit: Our latest release 0.9.1.9 includes the changes which fixed the issue.

Make sure the program is not running. Check Task Manager to see if any RTST file is running and close them or restart your PC if you want to be sure its closed. (Closing the app should be enough. Windows 8.1 can be really picky about security on starting / stopping programs)

Copy the file and then start RTST again. Make sure in-game overlay is checked.

Everything is closed and I try to move it in and get this : http://gyazo.com/56b780870c94b696696219d6078c467b
Then I click "Continue" and get this over and over again : http://gyazo.com/dc01edbea101ce9580490a68a52d559b

Are you a computer administrator?

Right click on RealTimeStatTracker, go to security. Is Everyone listed with Modify, Read & Execute, and Write? There can be more checked, but those are the important ones.

Our installer should set those permissions on that folder. You may want to reinstall the program.
You can manually set the permission too by clicking edit, add 'Everyone', set full control.

This may be your problem. RTST may not be able to launch rtst_run_dx64 which in-turn can't load rtst_d3doverlay_x64.

I am a computer administrator and everyone has permission to edit the files. Reinstalled it, moved the file in successfully, and on start up the RTST logo thing popped up but I don't see the overlay in game. SO CLOSE. xD

Well the overlay won't show up unless you press ~ or go on a kill-streak / get achievements. We'll have a constant overlay option in our next major update.

Edit: Our latest release 0.9.1.9 includes the changes which fixed the issue.

I have just registered and installed the stat tracker. The overlay is not working for me. Win7 64bit, I tried running it as an admin.

I have just registered and installed the stat tracker. The overlay is not working for me. Win7 64bit, I tried running it as an admin.

Go under Tools -> Options -> Configure
Make sure Version is on Auto and go ahead and check Launcher Console. Press Ok. Go To Overlay and Uncheck In-Game Overlay then recheck it.

Does a new console window pop up? The last line should say Hook Ready. If so start PS2. (Note that closing this console will kill the overlay)

If that still doesnt work try starting PS2 before launching RTST. Do you have any other overlays or recording software running?

Note that both PS2 and RTST will either have to run as Admin or both not as Admin.

PS2 doesnt run as admin. If I run the RTST without admin privileges the overlay says an error occured, access denied; so I tried running it as admin and later i tried both PS2 and RTST running as admin. The most I have seen is a window on top-middle with the text 'Recursion Stat Tracker' that fades away. I have seen that even when only RTST was run as admin. Hook ready is the last time in both cases. I did try to start PS2 first and then RTST and vice versa, it made no difference. Usually I start PlayClaw, OBS, TSoverlay and PS2FOV with the launcher but I also tried it without those and starting only the launcher and the game alone, this didn't make a difference too. (I started the launcher as admin)

Wait you see the text pop up? If you hit the '~' key, does anything happen?

If you see the stat tracker text pop up then its working. ~ displays a stats screen and getting kills should show kill streaks and achievements

Yes, I see that stats window using tilde. But I thought I should see some stats overlay in one of the corners constantly too.

That will be in our next version. We're trying to get a beta build out this weekend. Under options if you check beta participation you will be ready for when we do.

We generally release new updates there before pushing them out to everyone.
