When our next major update (https://recursion.tk/showthread.php?824-Our-Next-Major-Program-Update) releases there will be some improvements to how Voice Packs are handled.

Single Distribution File
The most important change is the Publish button will compile all config data and voice files down to a single binary file. The obvious gain here is distributing the file will be much easier. An end user will just choose Load Voice Pack, point to the file, and be done.

Performance is another plus. All custom sounds are loaded into memory once vs reading from disk on each play.

The other gain is if you edit a voice pack config, replacing sounds with your own or changing other options, you also have the option of restoring defaults to that specific voice pack.

Preview Sound
Preview sound will now work on our default sound files. You can hear RadLock in all of his glory and wonder why you ever wanted to use a different voice pack at all.

More Exposed Settings
Individual achievement configuration settings are visible. They cannot be changed but they can provide more information about that specific achievement.

Change the in-game background image
The in-game achievement background image can now be changed or disabled.

Backwards Compatible
Existing sound pack files should work as they do now. The extension has not changed. If you currently have a sound pack it should still work as long as it can read from the source sound files, but you can also Publish it yourself creating the new single file for improved performance.

Here's the UI so far.
