Since the last Recursion update, my in game overlay is not displaying.
It is working because I get all the voice comments, just missing the overlay.
I have tried all sorts of different settings to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas? I really like seeing the kills, deaths and KDR.

Make sure beta participation is checked under options then go to help update.. After you update go under options->display and select Use Legacy Hooks. Save. Then start PS2.

Hello, I'm having the same problem. My recursion is working. I can hear the sounds in-game, but I can not see an overlay, nor press ` and see the menu pop up. What can I do to fix this?
I did all you said and it still doesn't work.
I even enabled the beta for each mod separately
