0.10.2.6 HUD not loading.

Your OS and version: Windows 7 x64

The version of RTST: 0.10.2.6

Description of the problem: Quite simple. Since 0.10.2.6, the HUD just refuse to load. All sound components and api calls seems to work as usual. Installing an older version (I have a 0.9.2.9 in backup) will have a working HUD though. 0.10.2.5 was also working perfectly for me outside of having to reload the UI with the old Shift-F3 keybind from time to time.

I read the previous thread about a somewhat similar problem but since it was a different build, I decide to simply make a new thread. Reinstalling, closing Steam, switching from fullscreen to windowed, not having paint running, etc; have been done without positive results.


I'm not sure if there is anything else I can do to help find the cause of this issue. I'm not making any kind of "demand" for a rapid fix but I will admit that I love the Recursion Stats Tracker which is why I'm posting here.

Do any of the other overlay components show up like the stats screen?

If so..
Have you tried resetting the default key for the HUD under keymap? You can also try deleting the ComponentSettings.xml file under the Settings folder.

Already tried with the Key reset to default. Deleting the ComponentSetting gave no effect sadly.

Could your turn on the d3d launcher debug console, restart the d3d overlay and paste the text here

Ok, make sure beta participation is checked. We're trying to finish up an update for this weekend which has more changes to our direct x side and may address your issue. I'll let you know when that's out.

If that fails I'll set you up with special logging dlls to tell us what's going on.

New DLLs are in beta and production.

Mmm, maybe there is a missunderstanding... Outside of having a large "Receiving Beta Updates" on top now, I get nothing when I try updating outside of having the "check for update" button staying lit.

I assumed the Beta patch wasn't launch yet. I'll try again later today once I'm back from work.

We only updated the DLLs. It is possible they automatically downloaded and installed before you pressed help update.


And if this doesn't work for you we can setup error logging dlls. Feel free to add me on steam, lllSilencerlll (those are Ls)

I just started a new thread, but found this. I am having the same issue. Including trying the debug and getting the same screen.

Yeah, we found a solution tonight actually.

0.10.2.7 should be out soon. Make sure beta participation is checked under options. When you update go under options->display and select Use Legacy Hooks. Save. Then start PS2.
