[0.10.1.3] In-Game Overlay Not Working 75% of the Time

Since updating to beta 10, the in-game overlay has stopped working 75% of the time. Sometimes it simply doesn't work at all, sometimes it works for a half-hour to an hour and then suddenly stops working, and sometimes it stops working if I alt-tab. In earlier versions, if the overlay stopped working, I could just alt-tab, go to the Overlay menu, uncheck and then recheck the 'In-Game Overlay' option, and then it would almost always start working again. That no longer works; it just displays a pop-up saying that I should do that before starting the game.

I'm on Windows 8.1 64-bit. I'd attach the log, but it doesn't have any lines that are dated after I updated to beta 10. Is it outputting to a different file now?

Currently implementing an improved communication system which will address this issue and add some really cool future functionality.

Does 10.1.4 help at all?
