How to acces the Planetside 2 Database

Hey everyone,

I was wondering how the communication between your application and the (Publicly Accessible) Database works. Why? Because I'd like to know how to do it myself, how to get data like Death's and Kills from the planetside 2 servers. This is not to create a program like recursion stat tracker, but rather to use for school assignments. I have to start creating my own app soon, for Windows 10 and other platforms. And i was interested in creating an app that retrieves information from said database and puts it into a Python Graph. Very basic, but i do have to understand how to connect to the database, and if its actually possible to do.
