[Voice Pack] Sovereign from Mass Effect

[Autoxidation]

So I was inspired and made an RTST voice pack to Sovereign from Mass Effect.

If anyone wants to try it out and give feedback, I'd be grateful. I think it's pretty cool.

Version 0.2

To install, find your Recursion folder. Drop the .rtst_vpk file into the \Recursion\RealTimeStatTracker\VoicePacks folder. Start RTST. Go to Tools > Options > Audio tab > Load and select the file. Save and start playing Planetside.

I gave it a shot for a couple hours this afternoon. Other than the repeated lines and missing lines for rare achievements, it's pretty legit. My only other complaint is how long the double kill sound is considering how often it plays. There are a few lines that are particularly awesome: "Your words are as empty as your future" for RAGE QUIT, "My kind transcends your very understanding" for EASY MODE, "The pattern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom" for DOMINATION.

Thanks for the feedback! TBH I struggled finding good lines for the multikills and I'm not really happy with them right now, but with the fairly limited dialogue given [SPOILERS FOR ME 1](it's less than 5 minutes total) I'm not really sure what else to put there. I may dip into another Reaper from ME2 or ME3 for it. I'll experiment a bit.

I particularly enjoy the killing a brand new player line, "There is a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it."

What specific repeated lines are occurring too frequently? What rare achievements would you like to see voiced?

In particular, double kill and headshot occur very frequently, so they can get old fast. I think you have a line used for TERRORISTS that says "Extinguished" which could alternate with "Weakness" for headshots. Besides those two, there are a couple lines that are used for a bunch of moderately common achievements, such as "I am the vanguard of your destruction", "Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh", and "Confidence born of ignorance". Achievements that aren't extremely rare that still need lines are the LAWNMOWER/HARVESTER and ACE/TOPGUN/SUPERMAN trees, QUAD DAMAGE/ROAD RAGE, PISTOL WHIPPED, and COMMISSIONER.

Ultimately I think it will come down to finding more sound samples to choose from if you want to flesh out the voice pack.

New version with some of your suggestions. Thanks for the more specific feedback. I've redone the multikill sounds as well, what do you think? The others you mentioned should occur less frequently, but I kept "I am the vanguard of your destruction" on max kill, flyswatter, and decimation. Maybe on 15 kills in a vehicle too. I'll have to double check.

Addressing LAWNMOWER/HARVESTER and ACE/TOPGUN/SUPERMAN trees, QUAD DAMAGE/ROAD RAGE, PISTOL WHIPPED, and COMMISSIONER. may take longer since I'll probably have to rip new files and edit them to fill these. What is PISTOL WHIPPED? It doesn't have a description in RTST.

PISTOL WHIPPED/RUN AND HANDGUN/SIDEARM SLAYER = 4/8/12 kills with secondary weapon without dying.

Thanks for the background! I'll look into adding it and updating the voicepack. I've been away since April so I haven't really had time to play Planetside or work on this. If you have any suggestions or criticisms I'd love to hear it, and glad you're enjoying the pack!

Okay so with v11 I could finally republish my version of this voice pack. I added some Harbinger lines to it, so it's less repetitive. I wanted to ask author about a permission to republish it, but his last activity is 09-07-2015 08:18 PM, so I think there's no sense asking him. Can I post link here then ?
