You could also do screen capture to capture the in-game overlays. Using a GPU recorder like NVIDIA Shadowplay or the AMD equivalent shows the overlays as well.

That's a very detailed Guide. Thanks for sharing. But it looks like my PC can't handle it. My FPS is going down to 10ish numbers with Game Capture + Window Capture + Stream Overlay (?), so Monitor Capture looks like the only realistic option for me. (30ish FPS when recording, but still somehow playable)
